Running backup when a drive is plugged in
Dec 05, 2017
Description
As of release 78.9 it's possible to run a backup when an external drive is plugged into the computer or when a remote share becomes accessible.
More specifically, this option allows scheduling an immediate backup run when the job exits from the "Waiting for a device/share..." state.
Configuration
This is a per-job option and it is Off by default. In order to turn it on
add the following override to the backup's configuration:
conf.run_on_device_arrival 1

Is it possible to run a backup when a *specific* drive is plugged in?
The automatic backup works great when I plug in my external USB hard drive. But when I plug in my e-reader or any other USB stick, it also triggers the backup job. That is not desirable, is there any way around this?

Never mind, I found the answer myself: device tracking will do this :-)
