Bvckup Excluding own settings ?

I have setup bvckup in a portable way.

Where the config file is inside the program itself and the program is ran with a bat file (i know that you don't like this).

Now I can see an exclusion rule for bvckup to exclude it's own config folder. I need this folder backed up like the rest of the files.

is there a reason for excluding the config folder by default ?

The reason is historical and it had to do with preventing infinite backups with real-time scheduling option.

You can suppress this exclusion by adding the following backup override:

        conf.exclude_etc        0

As per usual, see https://bvckup2.com/support/forum/topic/1140 for how to add an override.

Thank you for your answer

Will this have the same effect as simply deleting the folder from the exclude settings of the same job ?

No, you will need to both delete the rule and add an override.
