Excel becomes "read only"

I am Japanese. Because I can't speak English, I use machine translation.
Excel 2019 files will be "read only".
First, backup from PC to external HDD with Bvckup2.
External Excel opens without any problem.
However, it becomes "read-only" when returned with Bvckup2 from the external HDD. In that state, the Excel file on the external HDD is not "read only".
Is it a setting like an attribute? Where should I set?

Hello Jessy,

Bvckup2 doesn't set any additional attributes on files. The cause of your problem is either with how the file is restored from the backup or with security software (an antivirus or similar) that puts this file into a "quarantine".

Thank you for answering

More options...
Also copy
Fiks attribute
File attributes
Ownership infomation
Group infomation

Are these settings not attribute settings?

This is the symptom of Excel 2019
Before that, it was Excel 2007, but there was no problem

"Also copy > Files attributes" will copy the attributes that are already set on a file. So if you have ReadOnly on the source file, the backup copy will also have it. But if the source didn't have ReadOnly attribute, the backup copy will not have it.

The "Ownership" and "Group" may (potentially) cause your sort of problem, but this would require the file to be copied to another computer and back. Also, the owner/group will need to be copied in very specific cases only. It's best not to copy these unless you 100% sure that they need to be copied.

Thank you for your answer
Also copy

Was on all the time
You should remove it

It is a PC configuration of the house
Main PC → NAS → Sub PC (90% is the same as main for spare when main is broken)
Main PC → NAS. Sometimes Bvckup2
NAS → sub PC. About once every two or three months
How to backup

I wrote it in the question but let me fix it
"However, it becomes" read-only "when returned with Bvckup2 from the external HDD.In that state, the Excel file on the external HDD is not" read only "."
I wrote in a simplified form
Main PC → NAS, not “read only”
NAS → sub-PC `` read only ''

So Only the transfer to the sub PC will be “read only” 」Is there any possibility? I'm worried that 2007 is OK and 2019 is not good

It's an issue specific to Excel or your NAS. I really don't know what to suggest except for obvious things.

1. Check that you are not copying Ownership/Group information.

2. Check that this is in fact caused by a ReadOnly attribute set of a file.

3. If it is, then check where exactly this attribute get set. Pick one file that has this problem and trace it from Main PC to NAS to the second PC. See where the attribute first appears.
