I'm presented with the following message in the log window: "The log file cannot be displayed. Please report this incident to the support".

I can provide actual log file if required.

Sorry Alex, too quick for my own good. Decided to re-boot, and now all OK.

This message usually means that the log file is corrupted to the point that the program cannot make any sense out of it  _even if it attempts to skip over the corrupted part_. This in turn tends to happen after blue screens, sudden power downs and some such.

The workaround is to delete the affected log file, which can be found by right-clicking on the backup entry, selecting Open Folder > Configuration and Logging. Then just delete backup.log and backup.0.log (if it exists) and restart the program.

OK, thanks for the info.

In my case, it was happening in all my backups! But it then "fixed" itself in one go.
